Small-scale Forestry International Conference
Opening session, Oral & Poster presentations
22.08.-23.08.2023. Tartu
August 21 16:15-17:30 and August 22 8:15-9:00 Registration. Kreutzwaldi 5 (Metsamaja)
We will organize bus transportation from the three hotels to the conference venue on the morning of August 22. NB! We do not organize transport in the evenings and on the morning of August 23.
On August 22, at 8:15 a.m., buses depart from Aleksandri Hotel and Sophia Hotel. There is a bus at Hugo.Stay (Raatuse 23) at 8:25. Those staying overnight in the city center can board the bus at Hugo.Stay.
The oral presentation together with the discussion lasts about 30 minutes (presentation therefore 20-25 minutes)

Publication
Abstracts presented at the symposium will be published as the conference proceedings.
In addition, participants may submit papers to be published in the Forestry Studies journal (https://mi.emu.ee/et/teadusinfo/metsanduslikud-uurimused/).

Start from Tartu at 8:15 (Kreutzwaldi 5 – 8:15, Hugo Stay – 8:30, Aleksandri – 8:40 and Sophia – 8:50.
10:00-11:00 Suur Munamägi (Estonia’s highest peak, 318 m above sea level).
11:30-13:45 Haanja Recreation and Sports Centre, where the leaders of the Võru forest cooperative will give a presentation. There is also lunch at the same place.
14:00 Võru bus station, from where those wishing to catch the bus at 14:15 (Tallinn airport at 17:50).
14:30-15:00 plan to go see the world’s tallest Scots pine (h = 46.6 m, 214 years old) in Ootsipalu
15:50-16:50 Järvselja study and experimental forest.
17:45 End of tour in Tartu

14:30-15:45 Endla bog (Endla Natural Reserve)
18:15 The accomondation in Medical SPA (swimming clothes with you)(https://narvajoesuu.ee/):
* accommodation in a double standard room
* dinner and breakfast in Buffet style
* Unlimited access to the sauna center, swimming pool and gym (during opening hours)
* Use of heated outdoor pool and hot tub (water temperature is 30°С)
